Halgrim’s Boat House – #WorldsForgotten

The Journey Continues…

Welcome to my #WorldsForgotten series, every week I will be posting a new ink illustration accompanied by a short story just to set the scene; the rest will be left to the imagination of the viewer!

Here we are at the 5th weekly installment of #WorldsForgotten and whilst a lot of  ground has been covered already, there is an incredibly long way to go.

We’re done with exploring the galaxies this week and we’re back in more familiar territory.

Halgrim’s Boat House – Ink on Mixed Media Paper – 4″ x 6″

Rumour has it that a travelling merchant who was journeying up the River Dreadrush recently got caught in a sudden current and pulled along a hidden tributary.

It led him through the depth of the Grimwood and he discovered an old boat house; who it belonged to however he couldn’t tell, but there were signs that it was still in frequent use.

Not daring to investigate a lone building in the Grimwood by himself so he rowed with all his might back out onto the main river channel to return with more men.

He returned the following day, but the tributary he had been pulled along previously was nowhere to be found…

Don’t Miss a Post!

Each illustration for the #WorldsForgotten series will be posted on Thursdays and as with all of my smaller works, the first place they will be posted will be Instagram.

Also on Instagram I post exclusive behind the scenes photos and short video clips (which I’ll be doing a lot more of nowadays) so be sure to follow me on there and be amongst the first to see new works and works in progress! – @JGloverArt

Every Sunday following the Thursday Instagram post, I will post the illustration here on my blog and add a bit more depth in terms of the description/story behind it and so on.

Until next time, farewell!
